Quite frankly, I think you are missing the point. The code still exists and people still write it. However, no-code platforms allow line managers with no technical expertise to design applications and these platforms are growing in popularity incredibly fast. To take just one example, Mendix, which was referred to in the article, was recently acquired by Siemens for $700 million. Forrester has estimated that the no-code/low-code market will grow to $15 billion by 2020. So if I’m naive, then so are a lot of very smart, well informed people.
