Are advancements more rapid than say, in the 1920s when electricity and internal combustion hit their inflection points? Or in the 1950s in the heyday of the Green revolution and the "Golden Age" of antibiotics? In the 80s when comptuers first gained wide adoption? In the 90s, when the Internet came and productivity soared?

The simple truth is that some things move faster today, other things move slower.
